Can anyone confirm that this center console is the same....

    on iX's & regular E30s?

Reason being, I want to put the cassette holder in......with all the cassettes I made in the late 80s/90s, i want to start putting them into use again.

There shouldn't be an issue. It locks in the same way to the shifter console and has one 10 mm nut under the rear ash tray.

No one makes this car anymore. The government won't allow them, normal people won't buy them. So it's up to us: the freaks, the weirdos, the informed. To buy them, to appreciate them, and most importantly, to drive them.

The question wasn't comparing the the two in the picture. I was asking if the consoles (in general) were the same between IX and regular e30

The difference I know of is the tunnel where the front output shaft goes to the front diff. So that is bowed out and is why the drivers side seat adjustment has a bend in it.

the front part of the ix center console IS different, but I think the rear is the same.
