nice man, keep up the good work. I got my crank from an m54b30 x3. Did you ever figure out how to wire up the map light mirror? I just did that earlier this week on my car.

No one makes this car anymore. The government won't allow them, normal people won't buy them. So it's up to us: the freaks, the weirdos, the informed. To buy them, to appreciate them, and most importantly, to drive them.

I never got it wired. I really want to but just haven't had the harness for it and had to take a break from the car. But soon I'll have the car at least on the road. Then I can start with all the little things to get this baby restored.

First off awsome find. I troll craigslist all the time waiting for one to come up.

Im not sure if anyone has said this yet but just think of it this way. Anything from the front seats forward is 99% IX specific. Even the seats since it has the bent adjuster to fit around the transfer case bump. It's fun, makes everything harder but once you get the car going the way you want it, it really is all worth it.

This was great to read. I have recently realized how much different the IX is and it kinda got me down, but after winter I will be back on it.

The iX was the 2nd most expensive E30; only the M3 cost more... that speaks to the specific parts involved in it.
