    Ix rear drive shaft removal

How do I remove the rear drive shaft from my ix. I've got all the bolts out but it's not dropping out. I'm trying to replace my rusty fuel tank.

You have to loosen the big nut and compress the whole thing.

The big nut isn't moving any more. It's a pain in the ass

Yes, it can be a pain. Just use a pry bar and try to pry the front of the shaft rearward. It's like an inch of compression.

Pry the shaft forward after I loosen the nut right. Does the nut break lose once you loosen and spin by hand? Which way should loosen the nut to the passenger side or driver side. Also I'm using a pipe wrench

Push the shaft towards the rear, not the front.
