front/rear strut brace?

So I know a normal e30 strut brace won't fit up front but I forget why, so I'm asking if I can just drill new holes in a set of bav auto strut braces?
Or is the engine higher and in the way

Why not just get the Ix specific strut brace? That's what I have

No the towers are different and also in a different location.
I think it should work in the rear though.

The iX strut towers are 3 or 4 inches further forward than the RWD ones and at a different angle, so all the engine and hood clearance points on a RWD strut brace will probably be completely wrong when installed on an iX, even if it's modified to bolt up.

i have one by some german company, i cant recall off the top of my head right now. but my point is, they are all going to have that same general shape. no ix front strut bar is going to go straight across because of how the engine is mounted.

i bought a standard e30 rear strut bar and it bolted right up.
