            Eibach 250lb 10" / 315lb 9" Springs with Ground Control Adjusters
            15.25" front
            15.25" rear

My front adjusters are halfway up, with the perch welded at the oem weld line. 250lb 10" spring. I didn't like how the rear 7" 350lb spring was sitting, it looked like the rear was sagging even with the adjuster all the way up. So I ordered a 9" 315lb spring, (adjuster all the way down). It was a pain to get in, even with disconnecting everything it needed a spring compressor. But I am happy with how it sits and feels.

Edit: the difference probably comes down to the tires though. I can't remember what tire size the bottle caps had, but it was undersized. Currently on 195/65/15 snows, which are oversized. Probably at least an inch larger in diameter.

Has anyone ran H&R vert springs on their ix? Just crossed reference through H&R website and they share the same part number for front and rear springs.

Should be about the same if not just a heavier rate in the rear. They’ll fit

I have a brokwn spring up front with the lower coil snapped. Do you guys have enough snow ground clearance with the H&R kit? This will be my primary get to the mountain vehicle.

                      H&R sports?

it's not a huge drop. Basically about the same as a stock E30 (IMO). Could always use a thicker spring pad to bump it up. To me, the biggest drawback of the H&R springs is lack of suspension travel. that 3/4" drop eats up like half of it. The ride height itself was never a problem with me, I could (and did) get through pretty much anything.

Or, just do coilovers and set it to an appropriate ride height. Funny, I needed my E30 this weekend, had been a while since I've driven it - the ride quality with the konis and my ground control kit really isn't too terrible. In some ways, it's better than my newer cars. It's just louder with a lot more vibrations.

That's what I'm running on street ix. They came off a vert.

I was researching this recently. The H&R iX springs are just a regular i/is front spring and a convertible rear spring. There is no special spring from H&R for the iX.

The fronts are OE sports iirc, but yes that is true. There's a story behind how the ix H&R kit came to be but unfortunately that member hasn't been active in years...
