    Another euro iX

Local car up for sale. Another true euro iX. Thought I would share since I don't need another project. I bet it still has the 3.64 diffs though.

For sale is a 1988 BMW 325IX. Asking $3500 OBO. This has been an incredible car for me since 2004 and is now in need of an owner with more time and space to dedicate to her. I will be upfront that this car has plenty of issues and is not is as good cosmetic shape as she once was. Most recently I am having issues getting it to pass CO emissions (NOX is reading 6.95 vs limit of 4.00) and I don't really have the time to dedicate to getting it fixed. I am continuing to pursue getting the issues fixed as have time available. The car is originally from Michigan which is not the kindest weather or road conditions for cars. The body has rust in the typical areas for the e30's (license plate lights, quarter panels are the worst). Recent work includes brand new OEM clutch (flywheel and throw out bearing). Prior work in 2011 includes full suspension replacement with Bilstein heavy duty shocks, driver side strut housing, new bushings for all linkages, new timing belt, new fuel lines, new brake lines, new front brake rotors, new headlights, new fog lights, full top end rebuild including new intake and exhaust valves assemblies, rocker shafts, rocker arms, reground valve seats, new OEM cam shaft, spark plugs and performance wire harness, new S.I. Board, new thermostat, water pump and belts; among other smaller cleans and improvements. The car has several electrical gremlins including the speedometer (also drops light to the OBC) and passenger power window. A/C is Not R-134a compatible and does not work. Blower fan was replaced in 2013 and heat works great. I would be more than happy to discuss any other replacements, concerns, or issues with anyone that is interested. I could talk about this car all day...
A quick VIN Decode confirms it.

No one makes this car anymore. The government won't allow them, normal people won't buy them. So it's up to us: the freaks, the weirdos, the informed. To buy them, to appreciate them, and most importantly, to drive them.

I don't think that's an 88. it would have plastic bumpers!

Cool though, there can't be many euro ix's in the states. Looks like it could use some love, but it'd be a nice car cleaned up.

Right? I have a spare 3.64 front if I blow it in the turbo car. Would be nice to see it repaired, it looks in nicer body condition than mine.
