    rwd coilovers

Do you guys think it would be possible to run this style (bc racing/etc: weld on) coilover on a 325ix?

I know these things go way low on a regular e30 which makes me think they might work for us for moderate lowering with decent suspension travel. I'm not sure about the upper bushings though. Does the 325ix use a different bolt pattern than a rwd e30 for the strut bearing (i know the design is different)? Perhaps using a ground control camber plate would fix that?

    Just thinking out loud

    Thanks

You have to use the ix specific strut mounts like the GC you linked.

      No. They're crap anyway.

The gc kit will work though.

Care to elaborate? I had them on my 5 lug car and really liked them

i think its relative. they are cheap. generally, the build quality isn't there compared to ground control or h&r. you will need camber plates to fit an ix. obviously as you know the front struts are shorter. otherwise they will fit the car.

Ditto. Dampers and tires are *mostly* black boxes into which you just have to throw money to get results.
