How much does your IX weigh?

I decided to finally weigh my car and see how bad it was. With 2 1" JL subs, spare, bike rack on top, no driver and half tank of gas i'm at:

    LF 793 RF 752

    LR 665 RR 623

    Left 1458 51.5%
    Rea r 1288 45.5%
    LF/RR 1416 50.0%
    Right 1375 48.5%

    Total 2833

Has anyone else weighed their IX?

My goal is to get mine down to 2800 with me in it. ideally by taking weight out of the front. Once all of the stuff come out at the track I am way more front bias.

Edit: never said what I took out. No AC, 1 fixed Recaro, chromoly roll bar, no tar.

    Production 10/87.

~2900lbs. I took it to the metal scrap yard and with me in it the scale read 3080 and I weigh 175lbs. I can't recall how full the gas tank was, probably half a tank though.

AC condenser, compressor, and trunk tar removed.

2833 seems pretty light. Are you sure you have the transfercase in there?

That seems too light to me especially with all that extra stuff. Mine is about 2850lbs - no A/C, lighter exhaust, CF hood, etc. '91 never had trunk tar.

With my current setup it's around 1260kg/2770lbs without driver and not much fuel.

First post edited. Sorry, never put what I had taken out.

Nisse Jarnet that's insane with the setup you have in the car. Once I go boost I feel like everything is going to be thrown off.

Do you have a full interior/stock seats? What did you do to drop so much weight?

M54 yes, N26/N20 no. It sounds like poop, and would be very difficult/expensive.

Agreed. But with very deep pockets an N20. It would be back far enough and it weighs 304lbs.

Yes completely stock. I didn't do much, lighter battery, lighter exhaust, no spare tire or jack, some heat shields under the car is gone, no AC or power windows etc.
                      I think it's a little lighter than stock but I don't know how :D

Yeah I'm not sure how it can be so light :)

I need to do manual windows, lexan in the rear, get rid of my sunroof, and motor. After that I'll start to pick out little things here and there.

Nando I am very interested in the setup you have been testing although I am not good with computers so half of that thread is Chinese to me.

N52? M54 would be so much easier. I still think the N52 is a superior motor, but the M54 would only require a simple frankenpan to work.

Yeah. I would love to do the N52 but as you said noone here has really broken into it and done much to it. Its also the fact that all of that computer talk that is veering me toward the easy route of M54.
