    Pulling engine

All, did a quick search and found nothing. Is it possible to pull engine, transmission and transfer case as a unit...out the top of the engine bay? Do I need to drop front cross member? Any tips or tricks would be appreciated as I plan to pull this weekend. Thanks

Just pull it all out from underneath. Get tall jack stands

Yes.. This was already 10 years ago now.

The rear is on ramps and the subframe is loose. I'll probably go out the bottom next time.

I'm always impressed that you managed to move the stand around on that gravel.

Just as a follow up. The removal was a success. I did end up dropping the front subframe just to make more room...probably could have done it without but made it super easy. Thanks for the advice.
