    Strut brace for iX

If anyone is interested for a strut brace for their iX, let me know.
They are being made this week, we are making 6 of them.

It is going to be a solid mount bar, no threads to strip or hinges to flex, and will look similar to the bar I have on my 335.

We are only making 6 of these, so if you are interested, let me know.

I will post up a picture as soon as the first bar is done.

The bar will be $225 plus shipping.

        First one nearly done!
We're now making 10, and all 10 will be done this week. They will all be painted black.

No one makes this car anymore. The government won't allow them, normal people won't buy them. So it's up to us: the freaks, the weirdos, the informed. To buy them, to appreciate them, and most importantly, to drive them.

What kind of handling gains can you expect from one of theses?

if your car is otherwise stock, not a whole lot. It just serves to stiffen up the front a small amount. caster and camber are still going to be much bigger issues as far as ix handling goes.

interesting statement. what would you say in your opinion would improve the caster/camber issue? i know that caster on an ix is close to zero, but isn't the camber very similar a standard i? a set of treehouse bushings will push the front axle forward about 1/2". in your opinion would that be adequate, or do you think it would be better to replace the front strut towers with those from an I car? that would really move the top of the struts back, perhaps 3 or 4 inches. bmw chose to set the ix's front suspension that way for a reason. i assume it would have been much easier to use the strut towers from the I car rather than engineer those specific to an ix. my reasons for asking these questions are not to put you in an awkward position. i really would like to know the answer to this. i am not a suspension guy, but i do have a couple of ix's and i would like to make them handle.
