    Question about valence

I’m about to pick up a 1984 318i and was hoping for some help. I see online kits that say 84-91 Mtech kits but I keep reading you can put Mtech 2 on the early models. Are these kits modified for early models or would I have to change the valence. If so are there any other kits like the Mtech that I wouldn’t have to change the valence for? Thank you.

There are cheap aftermarket kits that will allow this, but factory stuff will be a challenge when it comes to the rear. The arches on the rear are higher on the early models than the late models that came with the Mtech2 from the factory.

So would you recommend using the aftermarket kits or is the fitment usually terrible?

it's not really a going concern for a m10 car. i'd be doing millions of other things before contemplating a fakie areo kit.
