Bumper Impact Strip (Late Model - Plastic)

Has anyone found a better (softer) alternative to OEM?

I think mine are original, 35+ years old. They are very brittle & fragile — not very durable for something called ‘impact strip’.

Maybe less brittle if I buy new oem replacement… but I am tempted to try & source a black strip of rubber. Something that will match the shape, but more like the material of the early model rubber strips.

anyone else pull their hair out trying to remove these things??

There are companies that can 3D-print models that you load to their servers.
You can select flexible materials for printing.
I don't know the maximum lengths they support.
