The other Day I finnaly Got my bumper taken apart. I took apart the bumper strips so they can be repainted to match my new licence plate strip ( I have to get a new one since the one they sent me had a freakin chunk missing in the cornor).
The bumper strips overall are arnt that fadded at all, but a while ago my mother used some black paint (same paint that she used on the paint of the car) to cover up some scratces or something. So the surface is raised and looks like shit. I took a heat gun and started scarping off the stuff. Most of it came of but the surface still wasnt smooth, plus I burned some of the plastic in one spot, which looks like shit. I started sanding the one side but the sandpaper scratches are still there. The other side wasnt as bad so I just used some paint thinner and its almost gone, might need some sanding.
My question is Should I use primper to smooth out the surface all the way, sand that down a little, and then use some SEM spray paint over top of that?
Thanks
