download the full workshop manual and follow the smart people
at Bmw's guide, The section on the diff starts at 33-101.

Do you happen to have this file hosted somewhere else? I'm about to start rebuilding my diff and modifying it to a 4 clutch setup, and I'd like to read the factory instructions.
