So I decided to start work on reconstructing my air dam for the 2nd time using a piece from cdne30s air dam that he broke over the winter.
First I had to hack off the bit I made last year. So I got all my shit together:

And dremeled the old foam, bondo, fg piece off.

I kept it but its pretty wavy at the bottom (the rest is ok) but thats why I never painted it body color.
Next I used some good old ghetton ingunity to mate the new corner to the rest
Some metal "1001" uses straps and some nuts and bolts

Now Before you say "Dave that looks like shit"
I counter sunk the heads on the side you will see, I am going to bondo over them so you won't even know they are there.
Next I lined it all up (I fucked up the top hole thats why there is a washer in it now and it looks gross, I am going to have to buy a bigger bolt, washer, nut setup for that hole)

Next I attatched it from the back.

and cut off any overlap.
So here it is now, done for today.

So how am I going to fill the gap? Easy, fiberglass over the back so that theres a base for body filler than fill it up, shouldnt be hard considering how much I made last year.
I have to adjust the middle strap and fix that big hole at the top before that though. Then I'll fix the other spots I fixed last year, prime, sand, sand, sand, then body color.
Oh as for any flex issues, these things are strong vertically, and the fiberglass will stiffen it horizontally. Fiberglass doesnt stick to plastic well, but will stick well enough to keep things stiff.
