I've seen worse. That color really isn't that bad on your car. Shadowline, and back to stock bumpers. I'll bet you could pull it off.

So yeah.. for $1200 you wouldn't buy a 325 with m50 engine? Even though it is ugly.. it will still crap on a lot of the cars out there. I beat my friends porsche 944 with turbo tranny all day.. and thats good enough for me. For $2,000 more.. still only $3200 all together, its still a fun as hell car.

I'm truely sorry I don't have all the money you guys do to buy a car and build it from the ground up with all true BMW parts, but my car still catches the eyes of most.. so its all good. And plus.. I'm only 17, I could honestly care less what you guys think.. my girlfriend loves my car and so do I.

If the PO sold it to you with an m50 for 1200 bucks than not only did he have bad taste but he was an idiot as well.

Well having people laugh at me makes me obviously feel welcomed here. And yes, it has a m50 in it and yes, when he sold the car to me it wouldnt even turn over.. cleaned up the connections to the starter.. new battery.. random things to fix, had to chnage all the fluids.. simple things and it started up.. found numerous vacuum leaks.. fixed all of those and now she runs amazing :-) but yeah.. im truely sorry if i offended anyone by the asshole remark even though you all just laugh at my attempt to be a 17 year old with a oldschool bmw. heh.

Ok. NOT trying to be a dick. But...are you sure it's an M50? Wanna snap a pic for us? Maybe the PO THOUGHT it was an M50, but it's an M20. Just doesn't look like a car that an M50 would have gone in - ebay kit, etc.

That said, it still has a lot of potential. Take the kit off, buy the factory stuff, and you'll be in a lot better shape. And don't worry about the asshole comment. Start making fun of our moms or something, you'll be like family.

Yeah well right now I know it looks like shit. I just can't wait to get it painted and everything.. it will look sooo much better, I honestly hate the color(s) it is now.. but hey.. whatever.



But yeah anyway, the guy thought the engine or something hardcore was toast.. but either way I knew with an engine or not I'd still be able to get some money from parting the car so why not try? A few hundred of dollars and pretty much free labor, myself.. I got a decent BMW 325. Yeah about the m50, I honestly had no idea it was a non-stock engine, he never said anythign about it.. not sure if thats good or bad, maybe he was the same thing, as in that he didn't know it was swapped either. But yeah, I looked at another 325 around here and was like.. uh.. totally different engine.. much older looking.

But yeah, I've seen e30's around with the oldschool diving boards.. not my style.. make the car look like its in the past. Even if it has a shitty kit, the normal person wouldn't know that its extremely fake and whatever.. if it was up to me, I would've kept the diving boards until I had enough money to either buy a real reiger.. or somehow get mtech2 shit.. even though I see its pretty hard to find without having to sell your body organs. But for $1200, did I really do that bad? I honestly could have done much worse with my money that buy this car. I've only lost one race so far.. even though I don't really race much only being 17 because yeah.. new driver and points = not good. That color is hideous, I shit things that have a better hue than that; like bronzit. Buy the damn thing, tear out the motor, throw it in the cheapest 318i you can find and give the rest to charity. Or tear it down completely--completely--and repaint it diamondschwarz.

Racing=stupid. At least, that's the general opinion on this board. So if you think telling us how many cars you've raced and beat will gain our respect, stop now. Just some friendly advice.

As for the M50, I stand corrected. That is definitely an M50. Is it worth what you paid? Well, depends on the condition of the car, the quality of the swap, and the condition of the M50 put in. If it was a hack job, you may be in for a fun ride. If it was done right with a decent M50, then you stole that car. Screw the paint, who cares.

With an M50 you did get a good deal on the car. But its still one of the ugliest E30's I've ever seen. Haneous rims, primered non-fitting body kit, looks like it was lifted, 4 door, gold paint, etc. It has potential, but I don't really see you making it look any better.

And I bought my car when I was 15, paid for every single mod myself, and I pay for my college on top of that now. Don't cry poverty here, we are all cheap bastards.

I had a Safari Beige 318i. It was the absolute worst color that BMW could ever thought of during a brain fart.


I think yours will make a cool color. Definitely different, and will be a sleeper.

Get plastic bumpers and an "is" lip...
