    plastic bumpers

I am too lazy to spend 3 hours searching for the answer.

So how hard is it to swap plastics bumpers onto a 1987 325ic?

I'm guessing it's harder to swap than it is to search for how to swap.

Front is direct swap except for cutting tow hooks, rear takes some modifications. and oh boy is it fun to do...

ok this is what I thought and what I had heard through the grapevine. I might just go with painted diving boards and try to find a rear valance that fits db. Is there one that people know of?

I thought the early/late models don't matter with cabrios. Plastics should be a direct swap.

I just finished for my 87 325i, and it was not THAT hard. Would I do it again? Prolly not, I don't care enough.

The front was hard cuz my diving boards practically had to be blasted off with a chain gun. On the rear end, they came off easy, but had to be slightly modified to put the plastics on. Hard mods? No, I've never done any fabbing and it came out fine. Sanded, then resprayed.

I mounted a plastic CRG CIK cars at the end of last year. I havn't quite long time to make a real comparison, though I ran some good laps on our night race before my Leopard has been cut.

                      Vert instructions:

Take front valence off. Cut tow hooks.

                      Put new valence on.

                      Put new bumpershocks on.

Put bumper on, with guide rails.

                      Rear:

                      Take old bumper off.

Put new bumpershocks and bumper guides on.

                      Put new bumper on.

                      Pimp.

you forgot cut lower valence off a parts car, then weld and paint the valence on your cab.
