Note. The pics of cars that look splotchy and uneven is a true FLAT black. The VW that looks nice and even was sprayed SATIN black. Flat black out of a can looks more like charcoal and has a chalky feel to it. Satin black is the way to go. Yes, some hot rodders run with flat primer but the goal is usually to get it sprayed satin eventually. Looks cool and hides minor imperfections.
Flat black anyone?

As far as I know, hot rodders us something called DP90. It's a two stage primer that you add DP402 hardener to. PPG sells it. Also there's a product called OPEX Dead Flat Black Lacquer Paint, #M60 B16, made by
Sherwin-Williams. That's normally used for painting inside of cameras to cut down on light glare.Originally posted by payney8We heard economics is american for card game t/f ? :PComment

every flat or satin black car I have seen has been a Cavalier or some rattle canned shit box Civic. There is some hick around here that has a Cavlier poorly rattle canned flat black with a green FG body kit on it.
Sorry, I just can't dig the flat/satin black cars.Current Cars2014 M235i2009 R56 Cooper S1998 M31997 M3Comment
