It's been a loooonnnggg time since iv been on the forum but yeah you are on point. Iv seen paint jobs locally that look the same for the same price. it was an adventure though

As a non-Spanish speaker, how hard of a time am I going to have communicating with these guys if I end up taking my car down there?

paint job looks great for 1k. looks like a lot of time was spent on the prep work which is the most important part.

what happened? Did they end up charging you more than expected or was the quality of the job less than expected? Sounds like an adventure though.

Sorry guys i havent been able to post pictures Iv been extremely busy with work and school but here you go.. I am reall happy with he paint job but i felt like i could have had my car painted locally for the same quality and price. The guys there were awesome and really took car of me. I called every other day just to check on progress and they were cool with it. I literally only have one pic of the car now so i will post more up later..

When I was a kid in the 80s I remember my dad talking about how cool it would be to take our '72 510 to TJ for paint and interior work...

charged me 1300 this includes taking the whole car apart and doing the color change.. Doors trim windows etc will be pulled and painted.. .

ugh....why can't Mexico be closer to Canada :(

Guys.. You don't have to go down south to get a good paint job for an affordable price. There are plenty of decent painters here in San Diego that use the same methods of old (except for using lead based anything of course wink-wink) The guy who did my M3 lives here but is Mexiacan and does jobs for about a $1000 depending on how bad the car needs work. A lot of people are kind of gun-shy about driving across the border.I know I am but, bottom line is you need to hunt for YOUR bargain.

Ok so today I was sent the first batch of photos.. He said in a few days he will take the hood, bumpers and windows off to prep them well.. I'll post pics of that when he sends them to me
