If you had a master welder at your service...

...what would you have done to your car? It will be near free. He has been welding for years now, and I have to use him for SOMETHING for my car!

    My ideas:

-Extended fender flares (flares taken from another E30, welded to original flares). BBS RS 16x8" will fill them out.

-Removed front BMW badge from the hood (still contemplating this one...)
    -Removed doorlocks.
    -Removed "lip" from gas door

Anyone else have any ideas? I have M-Tech II coming as well, I may remove the rear valence hole for the exhaust, do a "clean look" like below...

Everything will be painted over afterwards of course...

P.S. - Will the rear spoiler on the touring shown above fit on any E30? That would look killer.
    Reminiscing...

always wondered that, and always thought the same.

dont know what else to recommend. what else do you want done? bonnet washer squirters? aerial hole? id get my side repeaters dealt with, but you guys dont have them.

and id get him to make me a nice sparco-ish strut brace that actually fits the m42 properly.

I'd have the dinky little rear sway bar mounts reinforced. otherwise, keep the welder away from my car...

I'd ask him if he could smelt... then i'd have him make me an iron member... none of this waffleswaffleswaffleswaffleswaffles-ass soft gold shit... something that could really do some damage.

that being said- m62 swap, fender flairs... hells yeah.

I do want to remove the hood washer squirters, but what exactly is the aerial hole?

And side repeaters? Do you mean the indicators that can be removed through euro trim?

Thanks for the heads up on the M-Tech II ABS thing, guess I'll go another route.

I'd get rid of the door locks and antenna. That is my plan at least, in the future.
And get rid of your door handles too, so I can see how it looks. ;)

                          Shaved:
                          Antenna
                          Handels (if 2 door)
Roundels (Well known fact I dislike them)

I can weld pretty good though, I just need a welder of my own.

                          Sold it.

hahaha, yeah, antenna, same diff. get rid of the squirters and relocate them to the grills by the wipers, or similar.

nah, we have those side indi's that are in the guard, but you dont need to do that.

And yeah, m-tech is ABS, or whatever other plastic its made of.

Is he a master body guy, or just a master welder? Who is doing the body work after he tacks a couple holes up? You are getting a full respray I take it?

Doubling up the fender flares would look terrible, the reason you cut off the old flares is so they don't end up being twice as low and cover up the wheel entirely. Doubling up the fender flares would be like doing this (see rear fender):

                              RISING EDGE

Let's drive fast and have fun.
