    No. Do it the right way and weld it on, a stitch weld every few inches is perfect. Then use automotive seam sealer to close the entire seam to the body.

      janderson, do you mean weld it straight to the body? would it work to make brackets and fasten it that way?

        Some people just use a rivet gut and some caulking.
