Now this is really crazy. I swear this is true, I saw this car at that ghetto ass paint shop over a year ago. It was outside when me and my friend johnny saw it. We were driving my current e30 which was his at the time. I remember that day because it was one of those "fall in love days". I saw his bimmer two weeks earlier when he had purchased it from his shop teacher at ECTA. I just kept loving the e30. Well on our way to cashman to get his little brother, I had spotted the 4 door orange mess and was shocked and just like.. :hitler: :down: :curse: :eeek: :sad: . We then picked his little brother up from school and i don't know me being dumb, felt so cool getting out of the e30 to let him in the back seat. Everyone was looking at the e30 maybe it was the loud music or just the hennarot orange bimmer my friend had. I was in love with the thing. Well anyways I had come across the same e30 this kid had again about a month and a half later. I was on craigslist and had saw his post. I wanted an e30 so bad i was willing to beg my dad for it but no. He didn't let me even go over there. I just am so shocked about this. I still see the bimmer when i drive around town, well sometimes. Last time was it parked at a smog shop. It's weird that me and this kid want the same thing though.. I want matter e30 too but i also want diamond racing steelie's too.. It's crazy or at least it seems that way to me.

lol outrageous. But the blacking out etc could've been done in a weekend to make it so much better? and you should've just replaced the shite fender before paint.

I paid $7k (AU$ but conversion is like 1:1) for a paint job and it had similar issues :(
Runs in the paint, had fender flares and they didnt prep or fit them properly, had to physically help them fit the bodykit by taking days off work cause they kept saying it wouldnt fit (they hadn't trimmed anything off it at all), they sprayed my front radiator support panel area in flat black rather than body colour and in the process sprayed all my a/c condensor, horns, headlights & wiring, half my overflow bottle etc, they sprayed my under arches with black underbody and painted my coilovers & adjustable camber / caster arms all black as well... list goes on. Paint around the flares started cracking after about 3 drives so i had to keep touching it up with nail varnish (they didnt use any rubber seal just built it up with sealant).

So for $800 man, that job is way salvageable. IMO painters are generally overpriced and underskilled. Unless you drop $10k plus. Even then, most of hte places over here only do insurance jobs, or only do straight out show cars. there's no such thing as good value really that i've found. :P

I think a waffle faced framing hammer might be the correct tool in this situation.
