    Sagging IS lip, ideas?

This was as good as I could get it and now its worse.

the stupid plastic brackets are pretty much toast. The metal valence behind it is pretty mangled too, so I think Ill have to do something different. Someone suggested drilling into the bumper and securing it that way, but it doesnt seem like the plastic will hold up too well.

Couldnt really find anything when I searched.

    Ideas?

take the valance off and replace the brackets. levent of guten parts sells the brackets i believe.

I bolted mine to my bumper years ago. You have to trim the sides a tiny bit to get an adequate fit, but it looks way better than stock...loses the gap alltogether.

The brackets are only half the problem. Even with new brackets, there will still be sagging.

a friend made these brackets for me ( and can easily produce more), but they wouldnt work on my car. the metal valence is beat. heres a pic of the car when i first got it.

the IS lip isnt in great condition either so i dont mind drilling into it.

        next idea?

Eh, it really is no big deal...the top of the valence where it meets the bumper shroud.

When you stick them together, the shroud gets distorted, so you have to trim the tiniest bit off.

              easy fix

i drilled a few holes thru my iS front valence and through the bottom of my diving board bumper. few zip ties later and it is nice and snug, looks good. also if i do bottom out the front, the zip ties break and my bumper doesn't get as mangled (great for rally driving)

put 3 screws into my valence yesterday hoping i could get it nice and snug without ordering new brackets
old lip cracked already where one screw was and passenger side sags now :( cant decide what to do
