Do the 318 thing. Cheap and light. Have a clean interior with no power nothing, light seats(no vaders), and an s54. Widebody with 285s. Stay with e30s and do something new just don't do it to the car you already have.

I've gotta throw in my 2 cents...

Firts off, I'm not a fan of too many "wide body" kits. I prefer a modified car that looks like it could have come from the factory that way.
I don't think the rounded flares work well on the e30. I'd prefer 'boxier' e30m3-like flares, maybe more along the lines of the AC Schnitzer E36 CLS:

That said, if I had the money burning in my pocket, widebody would be the last thing I would do. I would spend the money on getting the car powerful enough to NEED 285s before going crazy with a widebody kit. (Like S52+Eurosport Twinscrew)

But thats me-- its your money, your car, do what you want with it.

See page 2. I've already informed Jordan of my intention to buy it, long before he made this thread, when he told me of his plans.

I defiantely agree with this. I don't like most of the widebodies because they just have huge fender lips (or whatever the proper term for it is). I much prefer the flared fender style on the E30 M3 where the entire fender/quarter is actually flared. I think THAT would look sick.

What is the point though? You can't fit any more tire under a stock e30 M3 body then you can on a non-m early e30.

                  Seems pretty moot to me.

I know someone will mention Rui's widened body e30 M3, which I think looks ridiculous.

Hmm, never noticed this topic until now.

I love it. For a long time I wanted to do the same type of widebody, but lately my plans have changed. Still wide, but under wraps due to me not having a final design yet.

But your rough sketch of it is almost exactly what I was thinking previously (although I was thinking more aggressive) and it honestly looks badass. Can't wait to see it.

What about the Kilander Racing E30? It is a narrow-body E30, fitted with an M3 kit that's been widened 40mm...

                        You did. :D

I agree, that car is hideous. It used to look badass, when the wheels were still silver (not purple like the rest of the car), when the fenders were normal width, and the front airdam didn't look like the bastard child of an M3 and a snowshovel.

                          could be interesting.

however, i dont think the CSLs are going to cut it, they look too 'soft'. the picture i have in my head screams deep 3pce 18s, or race style solids.

Guys, it should be obvious Jordan is going to be pushing a ton more power in the future, because without more power, how is is going to do sweet burnout and donut videos with 285's? :p

I think it could end up looking amazing as long as its slammed down and tucking tire. None of the Behmer 4"-fender-gap-so-I-don't-crack-my-fenders-gap.
