    Most of the weight is supported by the engine motor mounts. The transmission mounts only counteract the moment created by the transmission, and to align the drive shaft.

    If you were to take the transmission brace off, the transmission only drops an inch or so.

When I take the car to have the exhaust welded I'll see what they say at first glance and report back. All other options like bolting through the floor or extending the bracket back to mount into the auto points seem a bit too hacked up..

          As for the weight, it doesn't hold much, as was mentioned. It holds up fine with just the drivers side bolt tight, but I think causes the driveline vibration I have from 60-80kph.
