2 different E30 hood part numbers 41611936174 and 41611955457.. why?

searched but couldn't find an answer to this. there are 2 different part numbers in realoem for the E30 hood

    41611936174
    41611955457

both are still available, both cost about the same. does anyone know the difference? is one in primer and the other in the BMW black paint finish or something?

per realoem here are the applicable vehicles for each. the only diff I see is that the 2nd part number shows it fits convertibles, but the first one doesn't.

the only thread I found with any info is from 5 years ago here but it wasn't very useful

finally, I check our 88 IX, 91 IX and 91 vert hoods and couldn't find any difference on the underside stampings holes etc.

    Any ideas?

    thanks
