      Yea, I think the connections are just right into the holes where the hard top goes into in the back. Wish I could find a wiring diagram.

        well i havent tried it on yet so i guess i'll give that a try. then what are the extra wires for on the hardtop? do you have one that you could look at?

            rear window defrosters for the hardtop work once its mounted. I don't know what wires your talking about. There should not be any free dangling wires. The're all integrated into the attachment points for the hardtop.

              thats acctualy really cool, so is one side positive and the other is negative? its all wraped up right now because im painting it but when its done i will post some pics of the wires

                You painting the car or the top? I would assume one side is negative and one positive. If I have time tomorrow and it's not raining I will throw a voltage meter across it with the top off and defrost on and see if I get any voltage.

                  im painting the hardtop. i bought it off ebay for 400 and during shipping something was dropped on it and broke the rear window and tore part of the canvis so instead of paying 1200 to get it redone i just stripped all the fabric and glue off and im painting it with texture paint so resembles canvis

                      ya i got a new one put on before i started painting it. i was surprised they were still availible from the dealer considering how rare hardtops are

                            it was 250 and im just re-using the old rubber surround because it wasent damaged.

                              i just rememberd i had another question. does anyone have any advice about leaving the soft top down for a few months while i have the hardtop on? i herd if you leave id down for long periods of time especialy when theres alot of moisture it can dammage the top
