so im glass beading them then repainting to aviod rust

Not bad. One problem, however. SCCA has something against doing numbers on windows, has to be on body panels, for autocrossing. Something happened some years back, blah blah blah, forget exactly what it was, but things changed. I still need to try it on the car, just didn't get to it today. I have a tune-up kit coming in tomorrow, so I'll be out doing stuff in the next few days anyways.

Re: spray on paint. It seems like it doesn't affect in the short term, but what about a little longer term (a few days, a week, a month?) That's one thing I'm wondering about.

Obviously there's some overspray, but that's just because my stencil wasn't super tight against the glass. I think a few little pieces of regular double-side scotch tape will fix that. I'm going to go see if they have some white tomorrow and try that, and try getting the stencil a little flatter against the glass.

Seems like an awesome way to do something a little different for numbers. Then they aren't on the body, and look better than shoe polish on the glass.

If lucky, the E36 will die peacefully, in its natural habitat, and be given the prestigious honor of donating its parts to an E30

All of you guys are talking about how it comes off so easily and "it peels right off".

I'm not criticizing or anything because I want to do this to my car too, but what happens when you wash the car? Can you accidentally scrub or pressure wash this stuff off?
              That's what I'm worried about.

Yeah. I'll be going out to buy it later today. Hopefully I'll be able to spray it on this weekend.
I'll post some pics up when I'm done.

its not that easy to peel of you have to scratch at it fot it to come off, its not like rubbing it will scratch it off, i scrubbed my front spoiler when I washed the car and its seemed to stick really well.

just did a dirt bike wheel, and another pair of skirts.

wheels are hard because it want to run and drip when wet.

Used three coats of plasti, just like a do with paint, the reason why I masked the drivers side is because as easy as it is to rub it off if you get overspray, it's not.

Like said before, you have to work at it to come off, and I got so much overspray on the other side that it took me an hour to clean off.

If you guys mask around trim or anything else, have a blade or cutter handy, you WILL HAVE TO CUT or everything will peel. That also takes some practice and skill.
