Rear bumper conversion - Can someone help?

I have a '91 vert that has the DB bumpers that i will be converting to plastic bumpers. I have the front figured out so that's no problem. The rear is where i'm not too sure of. I have purchased a rear bumper but will i need to install a valance? Or can a valance even be easily installed? I was looking at the ACS late model valance but i was told that it would required a lot of work to make it work.

    Would appreciate some feedback.

    Thanks!

I converted my 1988 cab to plastic and no valance required.

IMO, it needs a valance...some cut the stock face lift valance off and weld it/bolt it on and some go aftermarket.
