that's what I made mine out of, it ended up being a perfect fit for the headlight actually.

This Carbon Fiber Venturi-Style Headlight Cover is hand crafted from genuine 2x2 weave carbon fiber. The inlet allows you to attach a 3" duct hose for air intake or brake cooling. 6" or 7" diameter.

it doesn't create any pressure. it's not a ram effect. it doesn't matter where you're putting the filter.

plus with an AFM in the way, it's moot.

Ok i know what your thinking, that ill have a short cone filter but no. This will be a direct ram air to afm. The filter will be inside the piping. once im done will be sure to post about it.

Daniel Bernoulli was a smart guy. His principle states pretty much anything you need to know here. The basis is: As velocity increases, pressure decreases. This explains how the airfoil on the wing of an airplane provides lift, and how the venturi of a carburetor provides negative pressure (compared to ambient) in order to withdraw fuel from the float tank. Also how the compressor wheel in a turbo increases air pressure. Same thing here. Basically you would want a divergent duct after your air filter to convert higher velocity to higher pressure.
