This one is the only 'spoiler' that have been shown here that would give any aerodynamic improvement. The others look like good shades/vision blockers or a nice place to mount a 3rd brake light, but wouldn't do anything beneficial to aero. The 3rd brake light one would probably make it worse.

Phew!! I don't know what we would do without the fluids mechanic engineers here at r3v!
Those germans don't know squat about aerodynamics and stuff...pffft.... speaking in german and sh#t...all they know about is drinking beer, eating bratwurst sauteed with onions over Riesling, and yodeling.

hmm... cause it seems to me that he was saying that the actual BMW designed roof spoiler was the only one that had any function. But hell what do i know i only just learned to read.

I use something similar to block the 8-10k HID lights from all the Bros in their lifted trucks with matching HID Fogs...

So, no! they're not for keeping your roof from flying off,

Yes, they are for blocking visibility out the rear window!

I thought roof spoilers direct air over the rear glass to keep dirt and water from accumulating on it, not for "aerodynamic improvement". Idk.

^Its all about flow, the lip style can make it worse. But I digress.

I think the OP doesn't give a rats arse about aero or dirty rear windshields. Perhaps its only for appearance and something like this is his ultimate goal (note, this is a rather 'tame' version...)
