take it off and spray it with SEM or Duplicolor trim paint. don't try to mask it off in place. you will get overspray somwhere and you won't get every last part of the trim painted properly.
I dunno, I was able to scuff it pretty hardcore style with some good ol' 80 grit and was able to take most of the chrome actually off the metal. I have it primered and it hasn't even chipped or anything in over 6 months.
my car had shadowline from the factory, and it started peeling.
turned out it was black vinyl type stuff glued to the chrome trim
i peeled the rest of it off and now i have some strong ass yellow glue stuck on top of the chrome and it looks like ass
no, it didn't. the 325is never came with shadowline, and shadowline is definetly not black vinyl stuff over stock crome trim. sounds like somebody used electrical tape on yours.

tape it off.. goto autozone and buy standard black bumper trim paint... scratch it up prime it and use the autozone crap... no one will know the diffrence... Hell just use electrical tape and cover the trim with it
