Don't know about OE shadow line antennas BUT (i don't believe the entire mast is black just the top and base? IIRC), back in the day I had a Harada antenna on my 85 325e. It was all black, 2 pcs and went up about 1/4-1/2 the distance of the stock one. you can either buy chrome or black top antenna mast from the dealership. Earlier models usually came chrome. I, E, verts, the plastic bumper cars started getting black tops especially the IS versions. 318is for sure. Some 325IS' came chrome and some black. I have all black tops on mine. You can still order them. it blends nice with a white,red or black e30 because the grommet is also black.sigpicComment
