    IS Lip vs. Rieger Lip

If you had the money to spend on a brand new lip, what would you buy? I was originally going to buy an M-tech II Front bumper and go that route, but thought that it'd look money since it won't all be going on together..like it would be through a span of two or so years...

    Car for reference..

    1983 Peugeot 505 STI
    1992 Volvo 240 Wagon

There are no currently available rieger lips that are not made of complete shit, as far as I know and that includes real ones.

No can do. I was rocking one (actually from the Richmond pnp lol) and got sick of it within in a matter of weeks. The only thing I like about the Rieger is the fact that it gives the non-m's an m3 esque feel...

My old look (jr year in high school), for reference:

The volvo lips look really good if you do one of these things:

            1. Mount "upside down", this is actually the way they're mounted on Volvo's.
            2. Draw in sides so they don't flair out like crazy.
            3. Draw in sides, then trim ends of the lip like so:

Also, they look much better satin or flatte, as apposed to gloss.

            Go here be happy!

Wtf? Fuck volvo lips. OP didn't even mention that shit. Also, funfgan, that volvo lip looks especially shitty.

I wish I still had my Eurostyle Rieger lip. Worst mistake I ever made getting rid of it.

+1....except mine flew off going 70 on the interstate. Didn't see a nice dip in the road and it just caught on something. Look back and it's 15 feet in the air and in a bajillion pieces. RIP Rieger.

But Sina, you should get the Rieger! I seriously loved it when I had mine.

freeride, I think a Rieger would be too much for your car. Keep it classy with the iS lip.

                            White reiger

                            Black reiger

                            Black iS

                            Reiger left iS right

Theres some comparison. And get an i lip from bma for $40 before you put a volvo lip on your car. Anyway, get the iS lip. Stronger, not as low so less damage, and designed for the car so classier.

Oh, and my temporary volvo lip never broke (was ugly as hell though) while my fiberglass reiger lip cracked every time the wind blew. Thing had more bondo on it than your average ricer.

since eurostyle/fillip isn't making them any more, there's no real source for a good quality rieger lip these days. the eurostyle one was awesome, it wasn't a cheap flimsy fiberglass peice of shit or made of really brittle plastic like the original. so, that means the stock is lip is your best bet.
