    carbon fiber fitment

    picked up and installed a carbon trunk yesterday and the lines

    dont match at all :-x, would the carbon get messed up if i put some weight on it

    and let it sit out in the sun?

      What do you mean the lines don't line up? Are they crooked, or does the carbon have a "bubble" effect?

            You will not get it to change shape. Once it is set, that is how it will be forever. That's why having a correct mold is so important when making the part. It has to be flawless or the part will have flaws.

              ill try to get photos by this weekend.

              the brand is actually Extreme Dimensions.


              but the trunk doesnt sit right with the seals, so it literally pops up and the trunk doesn't seal in the middle

                            Send the company your pictures and ask them what the deal is. Even though it was a "free" CF trunk, I'd still email them. Hopefully they haven't sold too many of those bubbled trunks lids.

                            I do like the weave though...that's my favorite CF weave.
