    Tint or no tint?

I love tint on my cars. Hate the sun in my eyes (I have an eye disease so I'm somewhat light sensitive), hate having people being able to see in my car, and I dig the look. My last two cars were limo tinted 5%, but that's way too dark for the BMW.

    Here's how she sits now:

I was thinking 20% tint, which is not overly dark, but keeps the sun out without giving that 'black windows' look.

Anybody have comments, or pics of their E30 with 20% tint? Thanks!

I think tint looks good on late models, like yours, especially lighter colors like white or delphin like yours. I like early models without tint, personally

35% or lighter high quality Sun blocking film will perform well and still look classy. Cops will be less likely to cite u for it as well.

I am a fan of 15-20% tint but I have albinism. ;) It's dark enough to help a LOT but light enough to see at night.

Here's an older pic of my car, this is 20% tint, had it done about 7 years ago.

I live in SW Florida and during the summer, tint is mandatory. I have pretty dark tint and I have never been cited or pulled over for it. Get tint, you and your car's interior will appreciate it.

20% is awesome. Any darker you will get pulled over all the time, any lighter and you will wish you went darker.

Personally, I won't get my windows tinted! Even though I have a late model. An e30 is a car you WANT people to see you driving. ;)

Limo tint is stupid. Not only will you get hassled by the cops but, good luck managing to see outside your car at night.

My suggestion would be to get ceramic tint. 3M (crystalline) I believe is the lightest stuff on the market. The beauty about it is that you'd be able to get away with tinting your front windshield and not get any attention.

If it weren't raining I would post a pic of mine. I did 20% on the rear window and 35% on the 4 side windows. I wanted to keep it classic so I did 35%, 20% is sportier if you do it all around.
