Blacked Out Kidneys: Why?

I will agree, it looks alright on a black E30, but as I said, body-colored kidneys do look alright. It just looks like the front of the car is missing something, like it's not an E30 anymore....

I actually have a chrome one right now, suits the I lip better.

Pretty much. Bugs the shit out of me when I see an otherwise clean car with blacked out kidneys and stupid lights.

Whenever I was looking at E30's for me or my girl, the second I saw black kidneys I just thought of it being owned by some 16 year old who treated it like shit.

I'm trying to buy an E36 ATM and the number of blacked out kidneys are astounding.
