Why's that? Looks the same, made of the same material (i think).

They aren't made from the same material.
Those replica lips are sensitive to any sort of contact and crack easy.
I compare them to plastic forks when people ask. I would only ever buy one if I drove a stock height e30.

I just checked the auction as well, they accept returns up to 60 days so that may be an option.

Guess the lesson is to search the forums first before making a potentially "sweet deal purchase". Sorry to make such a nOOb blunder!!

My buddy got one of these ebay lips and it fit good and looks identical but then he parked a little too close to a curb and a slight bump broke the lip in 3 pieces.... oem lip like i have on my slammed car is like a street sweeper and takes a hell of a beating year after year and holds up!

also, I have one of those Chinese "i" lips. It looks similar but it really isn't exactly the same - it's a bit too short on the edges, for example.

not worth $20 for the quality difference.
