Great photos & much help - thanks for opening the vault & getting out a bit of your stash!!

Is your ACS pedal shown for a cabrio - #1071 or the #1070??

:up:Here are some pics of my two AC Schnitzer catalogs.

Here is pic of the ACS dead pedal in the catalog and part numbers.

Hartge and Alpina kit used long bolts to secure the dead pedals floor panel. That means you had to drill threw the carpet and the floor panel. Here I have a Hartge dead pedal with bolts it came with.

I don't think the pedal is trimmed, It looks like it might be slid behind the plastic stiffener cover?

Raul, could you chime in & perhaps verify??

    Barry,
How to attach it, is one of the answers we are working on. You & the others close to this have suggested a number of solutions. If you've got More info on Raul's pedal or a pic of the ASC version would you mind PM'g it to me?

    Thanks!

started a topic E30 cabrio ONLY - M dead petal

    E30 cabrio ONLY - M dead petal

Because of the frame stiffening the factory did on the e30 convertibles, the left-foot rest, where the dead pedal mounts, is @ 1" narrower than all the other models. It seems that all the different dead pedals that are made for the e30, are made for the models with the wider foot rest pad. It also seems that no one makes a dead-pedal for the narrower cabrio foot rest pad & if you wanted one you had to hack up what was available & normally that had questionable results.

I am trying to determine if there is enough interest in an e30 cabrio specific dead pedal to do a limited manufacturing run of 40 to 50. This would be cabrio ONLY, @ 1" narrower that the regular size. The example shown below is pretty close to the design of the finished product.

This thread is only to see where the interest level is ....................if there is enough interest we can firm up quantities, finish, price & timing on putting together a group buy. Cabrio owners please comment.

    Thanks,

    Jack
