I disagree. They are a terrbible part of the history of BMW making ugly shit for North America to meet crash test regs. I mean, it's all subjective on what you think looks good but if anything the euros are more period correct as that's what the car was designed to have.

I'm not going to lie and say the euro bumpers don't look better, but for those of us born and raised in the US during the 80s... it's what we saw and wanted when they were new. I guess it's just nostalgia, but I have a soft spot for them.

Is it difficult to breathe when it rains with your nose turned up that high?

haven't tried this product but I hear it's great for restoring your rubber trim.

Pitted trim is the main reason I am doing a pb conversion on my 87. I couldn't justify spending time and money on fixing up driving boards, which look mediocre at best. I would have loved to go euro, but the cost was much to justify.

Thanks for the links to the trim restoration kit, I may put that on the "to do" list.
The polished bumpers look really great too, another thing I'd love to do when I have a lot more free time than I do now.

As far as DB vs. chrome, I like the look of the chrome bumpers but I really do appreciate the extra buffer the DBs give me. I've been in too many situations with numbskulled drivers blindly wandering around to willingly give up even a little extra room to absorb a small impact. It could save me a lot of work down the road, just like the big bumpers on my 2002 did more than once when people ran into it in parking lots. Besides, if I ever find a Zender rear valance I think the look with the iS front valance is seriously cool.

Aerosol spray-on bed liner cleans up the nastyness.

Not OE correct, but 100x better than sundried old ass plastic. Also the nice shiney bumper...Vinyl wrap :D

That makes the most sense actually. And it does look great.

What kind of prep work did you do before spraying it on? Major sanding process or very little?
