Thats chrome tape, or air duct tape and a euro grill. You can find it at home depot.

IF you have the two piece valence, the top section that holds the kidney grill should be installed, but the bottom section should be removed. Then my bbs valence mounts to where the bottom section normally would have mounted.

That way when I mount the fogs to the bbs valence the lower section of the valence is not in the way. Does that make more sense?
Totally cleared up now, thank you!

Woah! for a cheap mod that looks really really clean! Did you put it on the outside rim and then cut with a razor blade or what? I'm kinda interested in trying this myself

Do like what you just said. You will have two seams on the out side edge. Not noticeable until your up close.

Not to totally derail this thread but Jason has one of my favorite e30s. Its oozing in 80s tuner goodness. Cant get over the late 80s body mods.

More on track, i got a hold of someone who has a bbs valence that has been on the car since its birth, so im hoping he can send me pics to how these fogs are factory mounted. ill post them here is they help any.

No one makes this car anymore. The government won't allow them, normal people won't buy them. So it's up to us: the freaks, the weirdos, the informed. To buy them, to appreciate them, and most importantly, to drive them.

finally found euro fog light brackets and bought a new early euro 2 piece valence so ill be trying this out since there hasn't been an answer to this question yet.

if anyone has the knowledge and wants to save me about 400 bucks in NLA parts, now would be the time to chime in :SOS:
