That looks like weatherstripping. I suggest that you try garden edging.

Throw it away and buy a real lip.

It's just to hold me over until my is lip gets here. Mostly to protect the clips.

The clips come off after you pop out the 2 little pins with a tiny screwdriver. Don't run that shit.

What you should have done is got new clips for the lip to replace any brittle or broken ones

Agreed , I sell so many IS lips to guys that say "no, Ill reuse my clips"
Inevitably they are back buying another lip. The clips get brittle and break and dont have the same grip as new ones. As much as lips cost, Spend 10 bucks and get new clips
