Should i take off my pinstripe? and how?

Im trying to do some cheap/free "mods" to keep me occupied while i am saving up for wheels. I had the hole day yesterday with nothing to do, so i decided to put some love into the car. I Cleaned up the engine a bit, painted the small airdam lip thinger, painted my taillights red, and scuffed my muffler up and painted black it with high temp paint
now im wondering on my pinstripe, Im not quite sure if id like it without it, but im leaning toward taking it off. What do you guys think

heres what the muffler used to look like. ( and if anyones wondering why i dont have the borbets anymore, its because i hit a curb real bad and messed them up, the look like ass now, and dont rides staight.

How do i take off the pinstripe?

well, if it's like the one on my car (and I assume it is) taking a fingernail under it will loosen it, and you can literally pull the thing off.

however, if yours isn't broken in 1000 places, I say leave it because it doesn't look too shabby.

    Maybe that's just me.

Matter of personal taste. It's your car not ours.

I do like the Borbet C's thou.

word. $18.00 is cheap insurance for your head not getting squished between the disc and the wheel well as you try to get that damn caliper mount bolt loose.

I agree, if its in good shape I would leave it alone. I would however get that ding on the rear quarter panel taken care of.

I also agree that jack stands (and a good floor jack) are in order, the factory jack should only be used for emergencies (I've used it and it sucks to pull out of the car, set up and use).

Keep the pinstripe, I think that they give the car more character.

I hate pinstripes and removed mine only a few days after getting the car.

If they are vinyl stick on ones you can heat them up with a hair dryer and peel them off. Just go slowly.

If they are painted on then get a detail shop to color sand them out. This is how I did mine.

I took mine off with a straight edge razor blade with water, mineral spirits to get off the adhesive, then i buffed the whole car after than, cut, wax and polish. It ended up blending perfectly and you cant even tell it was there

What are you doing with those Borbets now that they are wrecked?
