no. no as in no dont do it. i believe regular later model bumpers would solve your problem.

Are you doing it for looks or do you honestly think its going to improve your aerodynamics?

I think it'd look great and it would probably match up better, but you will still have to modify the bumpers to fit them.

            plastic bumpers FTW

actually, I think mtech 2 covers would look best with the ix. the diving boards just have to go!

I have the same car...i think even the same colour..but in 4dr..and the same fugly bumpers...

my question is..for the mtech2 bumper covers..do u need the OEM plastic bumpers first? then the mtech2 goes over? OR...is the mtech2 a replacement for the whole bumper ???

              thnx..i'm slightly cartarded

sweet..now where to buy? and whats a decent price so I don't get ripped off...

is there a back peice too?
does this fit well with the ix 'kit' ? well..the arches and the sideskirts

wait...I WANT to get rid of the diving boards...so when u say bot on..er sorry..bolt on(couldn't resist) do u mean..I can fully/finally remove my fugly chrome diving boards and the mtech2 will be a complete bumper replacement? or it bolts onto either the diving board or the plastic bumpers.(I have a set of the plastic bumpers available to me soon locally..so i'll pick em up if i neeed to)

                  thnx for ur patience..don't hate

you do need plastic bumpers/cores, but if you get a full used Mtech set you should be able to get the bumper cores with them.

alright cool. make your car look good, but it won't solve anything "aero" for our cars. making sure no confusion.

                            g luck
