A lot of people don't realize

just how agressive the lip spoiler portion of the M-Technic II rear wing is. The spoiler alone is quite profound, and then it has a nice wing over it to assist :)

I mounted it with just the lip spoiler just because I was curious how it would look. I like it, very e46 M3 CSL ish.

I might have to pick up a spare M-Technic II wing and take the spoiler off, round the edges at the quarter panels, and fill the holes in the top. Change it out with my mood 8)

      I don't like it.

Doesn't seem to flow well. I don't think the mtech2 wing does
either, so I may just be on crack. But yes, it is quite large.

The reason I got the mtech-1 was for the aggressive lip, I'd rock the "modded" mtech II if I was in your shoes..

kinda neat looking, i love the m-tec II spoilers. Not that any spoiler is functional on an E30 unless it's at least 8" tall anyway though. :)

Of course they are functional. The main issue is getting clean air to it. Some makes it, obviously most does not. That is why I am interested in finding one of those over window air reflectors like on the 3.5 CSL and that black e30 that Greg posted.

                        It still makes a difference.

Because that one would be exposed to a lot of stress. Making resistant to flex and twist would be tough as air passes over it. Not only that how are you going to mount it?

jordan, its a e30 not a formula1 car. i dont know why you would want to try to gain any rear downforce, at the expense of drag, on a e30 which are known to understeer at the limit anyway. a Mtech-2 wing would lose almost all its aerodynamic benefits through turns with the lack of end plates, and exiting turns is the only situation i think a e30 would benefit from more grip in the rear. which in that case your main focus should be on mechanical grip.
