hey man, I was totally being sarcastic. I think an e30 truck is cool as shit, and I also think people who are a speaking poorly of the idea need to pull their heads out of their asses

I would have done this. I wish I had an old eta or something i could mess with. The car would be lighter and so god damn cool.

Pic is a pshop of AndreNYs car.

i used a VW rabbit, if you do the project definitlly use that, it lines up perfect to the doors if you look at my second picture, that was without modification to it . what we did was take out the pilar and slide it over the bmw pilar, once im done im going to be putting instructions with lots and lots of pictures i took of the project because its something would have helped out a lot for us
oh and another thing if you make the truck there will be two jeremys on this forum with them

no problem, and i think it will be cool to have something totally different from most e30s, and there will never be one exactly the same

more pictures i just took, too many to post, and also, in one of the pictures you can see our method of adding support instead of the big roll bar on the truck posted above, we welded sheet metal into the whole that used to be covered by the rear side panel, this and another piece than you cant see that forms a sort of triangle behind the b pillar and is covered by the rebbit part, you can also see that there is a hole between the rabbit piece and the top of the gas tank/fuel pump area, this is so we can have fuel pump access and is one of the reasons we need the bed to be water tight, i could fill in the crack but if you think about it its not really needed. also in these pictures you can tell the car is deffenatlly not finished and yes the seats are boith heated, the passenger one isnt wired up yet, tell me what you guys think.

also, i know i have a plastic bumper up front and diving board in back, i didnt want to add to the custom work needed in the car, too much time, i got a zender valance for it and zender side skirts to match it, its also going to be tucked and painted diamon schwarz like the rest of the car

ya there was a vw rabbit pickup, (im 99% sure that ll the years were the same, not sure what mine is, ill ask my dad later) my dad has one for his buissness(of course it has bmw roundels and bottlecaps and such to make it look like a bimmer ) so he looked at it and it looked pretty close so he got the piece cut out frome one in a junkyard and we took out the pilar and support and made it fit, again this will all be shown by pictures when i finish, it was even such a nice fit that the seatbelt holes lined up prefectly!(the holes for the top part of the seatbelt that holds the belt up)
