Point taken JasonC, but euro bumpers aren't that expensive even for the baggypants on a budget. Decent, non-rusty sets can be found (shipped) for less than $500. But I see what you're saying.

Yeah maybe if you have great connections. Otherwise your not finding a non rusty set of complete euro bumpers for less than 500 shipped. Your fucking delusional.

That's why four sets are sitting in my parent's basement that were a little over $1k. It takes some hunting around to find them, but it's not like euro bumpers are unobtainium.

They are like unobtainium because you're hoarding them, you ass.

I'll give you a hundred bucks for a clean, straight rear center section.

You will have PM when I get them back from the guy who is refinishing them, I'm going to try to get down there within the next week (or whenever I can separate myself from the computer, whichever occurs first.)

Are you saying that euro bumpers are safer than na bumpers with compressed shocks?

OP, wear safety googles! and clothes you don't give a shit about so you can throw them out when you're finished.

I'm saying that neither are safe, but one makes you look like an idiot.

If anything, swapping in some MY88 bumper shocks makes much more sense.

Okay, so where in that last post did I not know what I was talking about?

The silence thing makes everyone lol.

I think you complain just to complain. I'm trying to give the guy an alternative to bumper tucking and you are just whining and complaining. Shut it.

no you just shit on anyone who wants to tuck their bumpers. just because you have like 5 sets of euros stacked up in your garage doesnt make you the official bumper authority. i would love to have euros, but i cant, so i do what i can to make my car look the way i want it. many people here actually prefer the look of tucked US bumpers.

to the OP, ive found that if you jack up the each end of the car as you drill the shocks, the smelly oil doesnt come out. just air, then when you compress them, the goo all shoots out

                        ^ Wrong.

OP, before you tuck, look into MY88 bumper shocks first.

i took by bumper/shocks off the car, drilled the hole and put them in a vice to compress them. controlling where all that nasty oil goes is important. it is vile stuff.
