Convertible Sport Seat Recline Stopper Removal

Hello everyone..

I recently bought a pair of E30 Convertible sport seats and had them reupholstered for my coupe but I realized that the recline feature is limited due to a stopper from what I have researched.

There was an old thread on R3V posted on which stopper to remove but the pics have since been deleted.

Does anyone have recent pics to share of which tab/stopper needs to be grinded/removed?

I'm sure when I disassemble the side cover I can figure it out but any information beforehand would be helpful and appreciated.

No luck with the Archive.org I'm afraid.

I've reached out to the OP of that thread in the slim chance he has a copy of those photos.
But he hasn't logged in since 2017 so I'm not holding my breath.

Maybe someone else will chime in with their own pictures.

You have to remove the seat but just pop off the mechanism covers and you'll see the black stoppers there. Take a screwdriver and pop those bad boys out.

I think that is the best bet for me..

Can the stopper be seen in this image anywhere?
