It can be done E46 sports in an E30 coupe

Fabbed up my own mounts, and wired up the seats. Everything fits, no rubbing, plenty of headroom.
I can post a full write-up if anyone is interested.
Also putting a feeler out there for the mounts. I can make a batch if theres enough people looking to do the swap.

I'm 6'0. The seat was actually raised all the way up in the picture, cause I had just got done vaccuming. Once properly adjusted, there is lsightyl less headroom than the stock seats, but still plenty for me. I dont care about the added weight, the car is a daiy driver...never going to track it. My old comfort seats were total shit, foam missing and bent frames. Driving was so uncomfortable.
They actually arent bulky at all, looks like they came from the factory that way.

Well I like them! Heated? They look super comfy lol. Just curious, how much heavier do you think they are compared to your old comforts? I have sports right now, and my friend is getting rid of his e46 black sports (like yours).

Honestly I dont think they can weigh that much more. The stock comforts are pretty heavy, even though they may not seem so. I didnt think to throw them on a scale before I mounted them, but again its my DD so I really am not too concerned with the little add in wieght. Its def worth it for the comfort and style of these seats VS the stock comforts.

They are roughly twice the weight of the standard sport seats.

The E46 seats are pretty heavy....I dont know the diff. Maybe I should take the Sparco's out of the Mini and fit them in the E30 or put my sports from the E46 in the E30...uggh.
