What works electric-wise? Just adjustments or does the memory function work too?

I temporaryly powered my driver's side seat today, pushed memory position 1 and the seat adjusted itself; or so it seems. At minimum the seats feel great, compliments the motor swap and also enhances the car in a sutle way.

As I understand it, the memory functions are tied through the ECU to the chip in the key. So I assumed that the memory functions wouldnt actually be functional. To be honest I have yet to even push the memory buttons.
But the full range of power adjustment works, as does the heat.

The guy I bought these seats from paid $700 on ebay with shipping. He planned to use them in a hot rod project.
They few pairs ive seen that are power/heated run right around that price. I'm sure if you can find them locally and avoid chipping you can shave off a few hundred in shipping charges.
I have seen them available in manual as well, but I wanted power.

I had those seats in my E46 coupe but full manual height, bottom tilt, backrest tilt, & thigh support adjustments.

Cool mod, although I find e30 sport seats to be a lot more supportive. The bolsters of those seats don't hold me at all.

I can't stand the stock e30 seats. All rickety and whatnot. Somehow they always seem crooked.

i have e46 manuel sport seats in my e30. They weigh 45 lbs each. I love them. They are not as supportive as e30's but they are relatively new and everything works wonderfully. They even go up and down while i am sitting- i have to change my weight around a little of course. I picked mine up for 300 on ebay about three years ago
